REMINDER: SCHOOL BREAKS

Southwire will announce work days for school breaks & school holidays. Many times the plant will be open during school holidays and students will be expected to work.  Days of work will depend on business needs. Students will need to check with their Southwire supervisors on whether they will be required to work.

  • Plant will be closed for student shifts on Monday September 7, 2026 in observance of Labor Day.
  • New Hires will begin their Industry Readiness classes for their shift on Tuesday September 8, 2026.
  • There is no Industry Readiness class on Friday September 4, 2026
  • There will be a mandatory whole group Industry Readiness class meeting in the seminar room on Friday September 11, 2026.
